Hi there everyone! The CSRA would like to invite all Pipers and Drummers, in the spirit of the Holiday Season, to join in on a pipe band flash mob at Uptown on Saturday December 19th 2015! At 4:00PM
Depending on how many people we can get out this will be a Massed band tune type of event!
Details are as follows:
Place: Uptown Shopping Center by the Big Christmas tree in front of Walmart.
Date and Time: December 19, 2015. 1600hrs for the Flash Mob
Tuning: We are shooting to get pipers to meet and tune in the underground at 1515hrs. Just follow the sound of the pipes or kilts. (Which ever you happen to notice first)
Dress: Civilian clothing / kilts optional of course
Details:
• Pipe Major Mel Johnston of the CSRA will be leading in the pipers. Lead Tip Patrick Bulmer from the CSRA will lead in the drummers.
Format:
• Mel will play solo, and then other pipers and drummers will begin to fall in and create a big circle down in the courtyard.
• Mel will start up with WHEN THE BATTLES O’ER played slow relaxed, and play through 2x or so. Coming together we will play an Upbeat GREEN HILLS & WHEN THE BATTLES O’ER.

SCOTLAND THE BRAVE & ROWAN TREE
We can also throw in JINGLE BELLS, BONNIE DUNDEE& STEAM BOAT.
Other massed band tunes can also be discussed depending on what the turnout is looking like
Hopefully we can get put a smile on some faces, and the weather cooperates.
